
Excellence in customer-service...or something.
There is an "event" called "Blackest Night" taking place in several DC titles this year. Its primarily based around the Green Lantern family of comics - specifically the fun little rings the characters wear which give them their powers. The marketing geniuses at DC supplied us with a bunch of these nifty little plastic rings to sell or use as incentives. I wore one of these rings all day. Almost every comic enthusiast who noticed it had to have one of their own! Its awesome seeing grown-ups get all giddy over a silly little marketing tool. I love my job.
At the end of my shift, I put on an album by Ludovico Einaudi called "Divenire". The custies loved it! Men and women were enthralled. Its such a sweet, introspective album, it unfortunately ended up bumming me out for the better part of the evening. I've since gotten a little better, thank you.
