Who is that old man shaking hands with our hero? Its a meeting that can only occur in the funny-pages!
I spent the late-afternoon reading the second-half of "Asterios Polyp" by David Mazzucchelli over a cheeseburger and an ice water in a corner-booth at Jackalope Jacks. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to re-read the book in one sitting a half-hour later at the Myers Park Branch of the CMPL. A cartoon drawing of my puppy-self shaking hands with Mr. Polyp seemed more fun than a boring picture of a dog reading a book, but only slightly.
Click the image, I chumped another illustrator's work!
