Hello friends!
No strip yet again today. It dawned on me that I have found myself rather committed to this web comic thing while visiting friends this weekend. I was fiddin' to draw a strip illustrating the fun I had hanging out on a back deck in NODA with said friends. That's when I realized that I have not devoted any time to character-development / figure-study beyond myself in this strip! Sure, we've seen Chris twice, but so far no appearances by friends who will more than likely play a part in this strip sometime in the future. Today I decided to give you folks a sneak-peek of sorts at the creative process I go through to bring you guys this gripping view of my puppy life.
The figure studies included here are works in progress. We have Evan leaning on a bone for no particular reason. Bottom left and across we can see the Winger study including unfortunate fictional injury being inflicted. Lastly we get to view the earlier, shorter David in juxtaposition with the later, more atomically-correct version at bottom right.
